McSally, is enthusiastic about providing socialism to the wealthy and corporations (hello tax giveaways) and embracing enormous golden parachutes for executives, no matter their behavior or harm they have done to their companies and employees. At the same time, McSally is positively outraged about the possibility of providing assistance for those in the rest of society. (See her latest false fear mongering ads against Mark Kelly for proof of this concept.)
To that end, it will surprise no one, that Trump’s latest budget aspires to cut Medicaid and the ACA by about $1 trillion; slash $25 billion from Social Security; drop food stamps for nearly 700,000 people across the country; and take away free school lunches from hundreds of thousands of school children.
In addition, Trump’s Department of Agriculture proposed rule changes that would mean 3.7 million fewer people would receive SNAP in an average month, according to a study by the Urban Institute.
The Trump/McSally 2020 Republican agenda is just a continuation of the party’s long-term mindset that Thomas Mann and Norm Ornstein explained back in 2012. “The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.”
So the next time you see McSally posting on social media about visiting a food bank, a medical research facility, or just generally acting like she has good intentions in assisting anyone but the 1%, feel free to post this little video so everyone can know her cruel GOP agenda.
